Max Blomgren began his artistic study in Maine at Bowdoin college, class of 2014. His early work explored the nature of photographic cyanotype prints, a style he was drawn to given its erratic and unpredictable nature.

In 2021, he began painting and will be continuing to explore this medium.

He is the winner of the Mckee photography grant (October 2013) and the Richard P. Martel memorial fund (May 2014).
